Superb professors, a vibrant student community, exciting athletic events, enriching activities that take learning beyond the classroom - to name just a few. And contributions to the Beach Fund help make many of these transformative learning and living experiences possible.
The Beach Fund supports a broad range of programs at Long Beach State. In fact, EVERY student, at some point in his or her Long Beach State career, has benefited in some way from Beach Fund dollars. The Beach Fund makes a big impact on campus, but that is not to say that individual gifts must be large to be meaningful - quite the opposite. The strength of the Beach Fund lies in the pooling of gifts, large and small, to address student needs in a direct and immediate way.
That is why your contribution is so crucial. Your gift, combined with others, creates a Beach Fund with the capacity to fill widening gaps in state support and student fees. Indeed, the Beach Fund provides a much-needed lifeline for many struggling students. And because it is a key source of unrestricted dollars, the Beach Fund also gives us the flexibility to respond in a timely manner when we encounter unexpected challenges or new opportunities for growth.
