Who is the AMA?
The American Marketing Association (AMA) at LBSU College of Business Administration (CBA) is made up of more than 38,000 professionals, professors and students who are leading the practice, teaching and development of marketing worldwide. The Long Beach State University chapter is one of 323 active collegiate AMA chapters. We’re the only LBSU club that is recognized nation-wide. Our group places a strong focus on community service, fundraising and hosting activities such as Marketing Week with professional speakers.
What do we do?
We strive to help students with professional development by offering internships and providing real-world marketing experience that gives them the leading edge when looking for a job after college. We also compete in an AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, in which we have won over 20 awards over the past five years!
We NEED YOU!
This year we have been invited back to compete again at the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans from April 5th to April 7th. We will compete against approximately 300 other schools in a marketing case study we have been preparing for, for months! Winning this competition would not only be a win for AMA, but it would show that LBSU students are leaders in the marketing world. We will gain valuable networking experience with over 1,000 students and faculty members to learn more about career paths within the marketing field. The experience is invaluable and we hope all of our members can attend!
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
Unfortunately, the cost to attend this conference is approximately $800 per student. We are reaching out to YOU, because we need your support. We have 30 days to raise $1,500 to help make this trip possible and affordable for every member who wants to attend. Your gift will help cover housing expenses, conference fees and food through scholarships for our AMA members.
PLEASE, support the AMA Club by making a gift today. And don't forget to share this page with your family and friends!
