Our Crowdfunding Groups
The award-winning, nationally renowned CSULB Vocal Jazz Program has garnered countless accolades, and is one of the top collegiate vocal jazz programs in the country! Our groups have performed at the most prestigious educational events and jazz festivals in the nation, and have been honored with DownBeat Magazine Student Music Awards every year for almost a decade. The program continues to attract the best, brightest, and most talented students from across the globe to pursue their education here at CSULB.
This year we have been invited to perform at the Jazz Education Network Conference in Dallas, the largest jazz conference in the world! We also have the privilege of performing on the Main Stage on the closing night of the conference, which is a tremendous honor and opportunity for our students.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Unfortunately, we only receive around $1,600 per year in funding from the university, and absolutely depend upon additional support to keep our program at the leading edge.
Here is a list of our current needs:
• Trip to Jazz Education Network Conference in Dallas TX ($12,000)
• Digital Sound Board ($4,500)
• Wireless Mics ($29,000)
• Recording Project for Debut Album ($6,200)
• New bass amp ($800)
• Keyboard ($1,500)
• Jazz Festival Registration Fees ($250 x 4)
• Guest Artist / Clinician Fees ($500 - $2000 per artist)
• Commissions for Musical Arrangements ($700-$1200 per arrangement)
We are reaching out to YOU, because we need your support. We are hoping to raise at least $10,000 this year for our Vocal Jazz Program.
