What the fund achieves
The fund directly supports the holistic development of Long Beach State student-athletes through the BeAChampion Program. Gifts to this fund provide the resources needed to deliver year-round programming focused on leadership, career readiness, mental health, financial literacy, and personal growth.

Your support helps ensure every student-athlete has access to mentorship, professional development, and life skills training. Empowering them to excel in competition, in the classroom, and in their communities long after their playing days at The Beach.

What is the BeAChampion program?
The BeAChampion Program is a four-year comprehensive development initiative designed to ensure that every Long Beach State student-athlete is supported holistically - academically, personally, and professionally - throughout their time at The Beach.

Built over the past three years and launching in full during the 2025–26 academic year, the program provides a year-by-year roadmap for growth, offering tailored curriculum, hands-on workshops, and meaningful connections that prepare student-athletes for success in competition, in the classroom, and in life beyond athletics.

First Year Foundation eases the transition into college by building community, confidence, and essential life skills.

Sophomore Success deepens leadership development, strengthens relationships, and cultivates personal brand and independence.

Junior Journey emphasizes career readiness, financial literacy, mentorship, and NIL education to prepare student-athletes for their next steps.

Senior Sendoff supports the transition out of collegiate athletics through career resources, alumni networking, and life-after-sport preparation.

Through each stage, the BeAChampion Program empowers student-athletes to grow as leaders, teammates, and individuals, leaving The Beach ready to BeAChampion for life.
