Hello, Beach Family!
WE’VE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED! Thank you so much to all who have already donated; we’ve raised $1,760 in just 14 hours!! That’s amazing!! Due to your love and support, we’re that much closer to bringing The Beach to Austria.
In thanks for all your help already, here’s a quick summary of our exciting itinerary this summer:
We arrive in Vienna on Monday, July 4th. During our three days in Vienna, we’ll tour such sights as the Schönbrunn Palace and the Mozart family home. That Wednesday we will also sing in a Viennese Mass.
The next morning we’ll take an early coach to Spittal, and prepare for our participation in the Chorwettbewerb competition! The next three days are all about singing and competing with choirs all over the world! After that celebration, our next stop is Milan, where we will spend two and a half days experiencing the Italian culture, touring La Scala opera house and museum, and singing in another magnificent Mass service.
From Milan we travel to Briancon, France, where we will be exchanging music and culture with three French choirs, and getting to know them as musicians and friends through a homestay program!
Our last stop is London, where we will record our first-ever Bob Cole Chamber Choir CD. We have two half-day recording sessions during which we will really fine-tune the best performances we can record; though nothing beats the magic of spontaneous, live music-making. We have our farewell to Europe dinner on July 16th, and then make our way back home the next day with a wealth of new experiences and understandings behind us.
We’re incredibly grateful to you for helping fund all this excitement. Our lives, and the entire world, are enriched by the sharing of choral music.
