Our Crowdfunding Groups
Long Beach GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is on a mission to increase high school graduation and college enrollment rates for the classes of 2027 and 2028 in the Norwalk La Mirada community. Since our founding in 2021, we have provided nearly 10,000 hours of services to over 1600 students and families. GEAR UP students are more likely to catch-up or move ahead in school, earn higher math grades, and participate in academic enriching activities.
This year, we are launching the GIVE BACK TO GEAR UP campaign to support several key initiatives, including scholarship funds, student showcase events, career readiness programming, college tours, and much needed learning materials and supplies. Gifts to this program will directly support students in their pursuit of a college education and will help support college tours, career fairs/events, STEM academies, and after-school programming.
Every contribution, no matter the amount, can significantly impact the lives of our students and their families.
