Support Women's Water Polo

Long Beach State Women’s Water Polo has a strong history of competing at every level including an international stage. With the generous support from donors like you, The Beach proudly delivers an unrivaled college athlete experience, producing leaders in the pool and in the classroom!

• Recent alumnae Orsi Hertzka and Marilia Mimides represented Long Beach State at the 2024 Summer Olympics (France and Canada).
• Current players Rita Gurri and Daniela Quinzada brought home gold medals from the U18 World Champs in China this past September.
• Freshman Brooklyn Plomp also represented team Canada at the U18 World Championships this past September. 

Your support for the program has greatly impacted the success of the Women’s water polo team. With Head Coach Shana Welch at the helm and the invaluable experience of Assistant Coach Katie Neidermire, the team continues to climb the national rankings, most recently to a #6 finish in the 2024 season, the team’s best finish in 20 years.

We are ready to do it again and we are asking for your help!
